Why no GPS or course maps?

Scratch focuses on Strokes Gained and practice — the analytics that actually lower your scores. Skipping GPS keeps it fast, private, and a one-time purchase instead of a subscription. You enter distances yourself.

Is the handicap official?

No. Scratch shows an unofficial handicap estimate using WHS-style math. It is clearly labeled an estimate and is not an official WHS index.

How is Strokes Gained calculated?

On-device, against bundled benchmark expected-strokes tables, compared to the level you choose (scratch through 20-handicap).

Is it really one price?

Yes. Scratch Pro is a single one-time purchase. No subscription, ever.
