We're here to help. Most questions are answered below.

How do I log a water test?

On the Dashboard or Parameters tab, tap Log a test (the + button), enter the values you measured, and save. ReefPilot charts the trend and flags anything drifting out of its target range.

How does the dosing calculator work?

Open a parameter that's low and tap Calculate a dose to fix, or use the Dosing calculator directly. Enter your current value, target, tank volume, and product — ReefPilot computes the exact dose and splits it safely over multiple days when needed. All math runs on-device.

How do compatibility checks work?

In the Livestock library, tap Check fit on any species. ReefPilot evaluates it against your tank — reef-safety, tank size, aggression, and water parameters — and gives a clear verdict with plain-language reasons. It's advisory guidance, not a guarantee; individual temperament varies.

Does my data get uploaded anywhere?

Never. All logging, calculations, and compatibility checks happen entirely on your device. ReefPilot has no servers. See our Privacy Policy.

What's the difference between Simple and Pro mode?

Simple mode shows the 8 core parameters with plain-language guidance — great for getting started. Pro mode reveals advanced parameters (ammonia, nitrite, custom fields) and additional dosing methods. You can switch anytime in Settings without losing data.

Is ReefPilot Unlocked a subscription?

No — it's a one-time purchase, never a subscription. Pay once and keep every feature forever.

I bought Unlocked on another device / reinstalled. How do I get it back?

Open Settings → ReefPilot Unlocked and tap Restore purchase. Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID and restores for free.

Can I manage more than one tank?

Yes. ReefPilot supports multiple tanks, each with its own parameters, livestock, and maintenance schedule. Switch tanks from the Dashboard header or add one in Settings → Manage tanks.
