Privacy Policy

The short version: Nestling runs on your device and your own private iCloud. We have no servers and no account system. Your baby's logs are never sent to us, and we never sell or share your data.

Who we are

Nestling ("the app", "we", "us") is a private baby tracker for iOS. It helps you log feeds, sleep, diapers, pumping, and growth — and optionally share with caregivers you invite, via your own iCloud — entirely without a Nestling account or any connection to servers we operate. This policy explains how the app handles your information.

Data we collect

None. Nestling does not collect personal data. Specifically:

We do not run servers of our own. Your baby's data is never uploaded to us.
We do not require a Nestling account, email, or any personal information.
We do not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
We do not track you across apps or websites.

Your data and iCloud

All of your data is stored in the app's private storage on your iPhone. If you have iCloud enabled, your data syncs across your own Apple devices through Apple's CloudKit private database, accessible only to you — not to us.

Sharing with caregivers

If you choose to invite a co-parent, nanny, or other caregiver, Nestling uses Apple's CloudKit sharing to give that person access to your baby's records through their own iCloud account. You control who is invited and whether they can edit or only view, and you can stop sharing at any time. This sharing happens directly between your iCloud accounts via Apple — Nestling has no server in the middle and never sees the shared data. Apple's handling of CloudKit data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children's data

Nestling is used by parents and caregivers to record information about their own child (such as feeding times, sleep, diapers, and growth measurements). This information is entered by you, stays on your device and in your private iCloud, and is never transmitted to us or any third party. Nestling is intended for use by adults (parents and caregivers), not by children.

Purchases

Nestling offers a one-time, non-subscription in-app purchase ("Nestling Unlock") to unlock predictions, growth charts, multi-caregiver sync, and Apple Watch. Purchases and restores are handled entirely by Apple's App Store and StoreKit. We never receive or store your payment details. Apple's handling of transactions is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Local notifications

If you enable nap reminders, Nestling schedules local notifications on your device. They are generated and displayed entirely on-device — no data is sent to us.
