Frequently asked
How do I log a flight?
Tap Log Flight, pick your aircraft and route, enter the times and landings, and save. Or tap Duplicate last flight to start from your previous one and just tweak it. Everything works offline.
How does currency tracking work?
Logbook reads your logged flights and shows your status like a cockpit panel — green (current), amber (expiring or self-regain), red (lapsed). It tracks passenger day & night (FAA 14 CFR 61.57), instrument currency with the self-regain window and IPC logic (61.57(c)/(d)), flight review (61.56) and your medical (61.23). Add your medical and flight review on the Currency tab. It's computed guidance — you remain responsible for verifying your currency.
Can I import my logbook from another app?
Yes (Pro). On the Logbook tab choose Import logbook and pick your source — LogTen (Export Flights as Tab), ForeFlight (logbook template CSV), MccPilotLog (CSV export), or any generic CSV. Logbook maps your flights, links your aircraft, and shows the totals reconciled before anything is saved. Re-importing the same file won't create duplicates.
What's free and what's Pro?
Unlimited manual logging, totals and the currency dashboard are free forever. Logbook Pro is a single one-time purchase that unlocks importing your history, currency reminders, and PDF/CSV export. No subscription, ever.
How do I get a PDF logbook?
Tap the report icon on the panel, choose Logbook, Experience Summary or Currency Report, then Share PDF. Add your name and certificate number in Settings to brand the report. Export is part of Pro.
Will I lose my data if I reinstall?
Your logbook is stored on your device. Export your data to CSV any time from Settings to keep your own backup — your logbook is always yours.
