1. Information Collection and Use

What We Don't Collect

EF Academy does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to external servers. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, or contact information
• Location data or device identifiers
• Mission content, task descriptions, or notes
• Usage analytics or behavior tracking
• Payment information (the app is free with no in-app purchases)
• Photos, files, or media from your device
• Health or biometric data

What Stays on Your Device

All information you enter into EF Academy is stored locally on your device only:

• Daily missions and task steps
• Executive function skill progress and scores
• Time blocks and schedule entries
• Focus timer sessions
• Stars earned and streak counts
• Parent dashboard settings and passcode
• Notification preferences

2. Data Storage and Security

Local Storage Only

All data is stored locally on your iOS device using Apple's secure Core Data framework. Your information is protected by:

• iOS device-level encryption
• Your device passcode and biometric authentication (Face ID/Touch ID)
• Secure app sandboxing provided by iOS

iCloud Sync (Optional)

If you enable iCloud backup on your device, EF Academy data may be included in your iCloud backup. This is controlled entirely by your device's iCloud settings, not by our app. Data synced to iCloud is:

• Encrypted by Apple
• Accessible only to you through your Apple ID
• Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy

You can disable iCloud backup for EF Academy in your device settings (Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Backups).

3. Third-Party Services

EF Academy does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not integrate:

• Analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Firebase, etc.)
• Advertising networks
• Social media SDKs
• Crash reporting services
• A/B testing frameworks

The app operates completely offline and does not require an internet connection to function.

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

EF Academy is designed for children ages 4 and up, and we take children's privacy seriously. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):

• No personal information is collected from users of any age
• No online contact with other users (no chat, forums, or social features)
• No ability to share content publicly
• No advertising or third-party content
• No in-app purchases or commerce
• No location tracking or camera/microphone access

Parent Control Features

The app includes a parent dashboard protected by a passcode (default: 0000, customizable) to allow parents to:

• View their child's progress and skill development
• Export progress reports as PDFs (stored locally only)
• Manage notification settings
• Review mission history

5. Permissions

Notifications (Optional)

EF Academy may request permission to send local notifications for:

• Mission deadline reminders
• Daily check-in prompts
• Streak maintenance notifications

These notifications are generated locally on your device. No data is sent to external servers. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings → Notifications → EF Academy.

No Other Permissions Required

EF Academy does not request access to:

• Camera or photos
• Microphone
• Location services
• Contacts
• Calendar
• Health data
• Bluetooth or network resources

6. Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over your information:

Delete Specific Data

• Delete individual missions, time blocks, or skill entries within the app
• Clear completed missions or history

Delete All App Data

To completely remove all data:

1. Delete the EF Academy app from your device
2. All associated data will be permanently removed from your device
3. If you have iCloud backup enabled, you may also want to remove EF Academy data from your iCloud backup

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

EF Academy does not share, sell, rent, or disclose any user data to third parties because we do not collect any user data.

PDF Export Feature

The parent dashboard includes a feature to export progress reports as PDF files. These PDFs are:

• Generated locally on your device
• Saved to your device's file system or shared via iOS share sheet
• Under your complete control - you decide if and how to share them
• Not transmitted to our servers or any third parties

8. International Users

EF Academy is available worldwide through the Apple App Store. Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• No data crosses international borders via our app
• You are subject only to your local device's data protection
• GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations are inherently satisfied through our no-collection policy

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in:

• App features or functionality
• Legal or regulatory requirements
• Our privacy practices

When we make changes, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
• Notify users through an in-app message if changes are significant
• Maintain our commitment to not collecting personal data

Your continued use of EF Academy after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Because we don't collect your data, you automatically have complete control:

• Right to Access: All your data is directly accessible within the app
• Right to Delete: Delete any data within the app or uninstall to remove all data
• Right to Portability: Export progress reports as PDFs from the parent dashboard
• Right to Opt-Out: Disable notifications in iOS settings; no other tracking to opt out of

11. App Store and Apple

When you download EF Academy from the Apple App Store, Apple may collect certain information about the download and your device as part of the App Store service. This information collection is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, not by EF Academy.

EF Academy itself does not receive or have access to any App Store analytics or user information from Apple.
