We're here to help. Most questions are answered below.
Is it safe? Will ClearSpace delete my photos without asking?
No. ClearSpace only ever deletes the items you select, and iOS shows its own confirmation before anything is removed. In duplicate groups, we pre-select the extras and automatically keep the best copy — and the photo we recommend keeping can never be selected for deletion.
Do my photos get uploaded anywhere?
Never. All scanning and analysis happens entirely on your device. ClearSpace has no servers and makes no network connections with your photos. See our Privacy Policy.
How does it find duplicates and blurry photos?
ClearSpace uses Apple's on-device image-analysis frameworks to compare photos for similarity and measure sharpness, plus your library's own metadata to find screenshots and large videos. No internet required.
What does ClearSpace Pro unlock, and is it a subscription?
ClearSpace Pro is a one-time purchase — never a subscription. It removes the limit on how many items you can delete in a single batch. You can scan and review for free.
I bought Pro on another device / reinstalled. How do I get it back?
Open ClearSpace, go to the upgrade screen, and tap Restore Purchases. Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID and restores for free.
ClearSpace can't see my photos.
ClearSpace needs photo-library permission to work. Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → ClearSpace and choose Full Access, or use "Select More Photos" if you've granted limited access.
Where did my freed-up space go?
Deleted photos move to your Recently Deleted album for up to 30 days (an iOS feature). To reclaim space immediately, open Photos → Albums → Recently Deleted and remove them permanently.
